I do not agree with this change for various reasons. Being a shorter player, I do not need or want more height added to the net. Pickleball's popularity stems in part from its accessibility to players of varying ages and skill levels. Raising the net height could make the game more physically demanding, particularly for shorter players or those with limited mobility, thereby reducing its inclusivity .

Modifying the height of the net in all the venues it is played at, would not be feasible.

An increased net height might compel players to exert more force to clear the net, potentially leading to overexertion or strain, particularly in the shoulder and arm areas. This could increase the risk of injuries, especially among recreational players .

While the idea of raising the net height might aim to introduce new challenges, it could inadvertently compromise the core elements that make pickleball enjoyable and accessible. Maintaining the current net height preserves the game's integrity, strategy, and broad appeal.
