Proposed Rule Change

Assistive devices are treated as part of the player’s body. Therefore:
• If a device touches the non-volley zone (NVZ) during a volley, it is considered a fault.
• If a device touches the service line during service, it is a fault.
• If a device contacts a live ball, it is a dead ball and ends the rally.

Original Rule Text

No existing clarification for assistive devices in standing play.

Reasoning Behind Suggested Change

Clarifying that assistive devices count as part of the body for faults ensures consistency and fairness in officiating and upholds the standard rules while allowing for accommodations.

Scenarios In Which the Rules Applies

All Adaptive Standing Division play involving assistive devices.
