| USAP Board Vote Reason | This clarifies adaptive rules. |

| Proposed Rule Change (edited) | Final text pending |
| Proposed Rule Change | When competing in a non-wheelchair event, a player is permitted to transition from standing to wheelchair, or vice versa, once per match. The transition should be recognized as an equipment timeout of reasonable duration. |
| Original Rule Text | No existing rule |
| Reasoning Behind Suggested Change | A limited number of players in wheelchairs also possess the ability to compete standing. This rule would allow a player who started a match standing to have the opportunity to complete the match in a wheelchair due to fatigue/pain/etc. This scenario has presented itself in past tournament play. |
| Scenarios In Which the Rules Applies | An application of this rule would be an amputee who starts a match standing, but experiences pain due to their prosthetic limb rubbing a blister on their leg and needs to complete the match using their wheelchair. |
