Existing Rule #3.A.20
Proposed Rule Change (edited)

3.A.20 Momentum – Momentum is a property of a body in motion, such as a player executing a volley, that causes the player to continue in motion after contacting the ball. The act of volleying produces momentum that ends when the player regains balance and control of their motion. (THE PHRASE "OR STOPS MOVING TOWARD THE NON-VOLLEY ZONE" HAS BEEN REMOVED.)

Proposed Rule Change

I have a request from someone to clear the language about the definition of momentum including the term "or" in terms of "moving away from the NVZ.  He felt that once you jumped the corner for an Erne you were moving away from the NVZ so your momentum was contained.  I told him that I didn't feel that landing on your feet qualified as moving away from the NVZ.  Perhaps the term balance needs to be on both sides of the "or".
