Reasoning Behind Suggested Change | The purpose of this document is to provide my idea on a revised rule change to the serve motion allowed in Pickleball. I believe the current rules are too complicated and unenforceable. This rule document suggests only one restriction to the service motion: The server’s wrist must never be higher than the server’s elbow. This will prevent a so-called “overhead serve” and will allow referees to only have to look at one area – where is the wrist relative to the elbow – lower or equal to GOOD – higher to FAULT. |
