Original Rule Text
12.F.6.c. All previous completed match scores, prior to an Ejection, Forfeit or a player Retirement, will be retained.
Reasoning Behind Suggested Change
In Round Robin play, the tie-breaker of point differential is unfairly affected if a player or team is unable to complete all of their matches.
Scenarios In Which the Rules Applies
Teams A, B, C, D, E, and F meet in a Round Robin format.
In the first round, Team A defeats Team B 15-9.
In the second round, Team B plays against Team C. During the game, a player on Team B suffers an injury that causes Team B to withdraw.
Though Teams C, D, E, and F will be awarded 15-0 wins against Team B, Team A currently retains their score of 15-9.
I propose that this is unfair to Team A. To make things equal (when looking at the point differential tie-breaker), all of Team B's scores should be retroactively changed to 15-0 losses.
