| Reasoning Behind Suggested Change | The current rule allows a player to call the last number right before striking the ball. This gives the opposition no time to process the called score, and a wrong score can be very distracting. With the severe penalties now imposed for stopping a rally for an incorrect score called, the players must now concentrate on what the correct score is and who served from where, etc., instead of focusing full attention on the rally at hand. |
