Disagree with this suggestion. The focus of Section 6 is on line calls, therefore it makes sense that the out call is the subject of the sentence and it's phrased using the passive voice

I like this suggestion.
Just one amendment to this suggestion: 6.D.7 A player MUST call the ball out before their opponent hits the ball (or the ball becomes dead).

I think the wording should be "before or while simultaneously hitting the ball".
